The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is part of the National Institutes of Health, an agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services. Its mission is to support and conduct research on drug abuse and addiction and to get research findings to the appropriate audiences to help in prevention, treatment, and policy-making decisions. As part of a broad-based public initiative to inform and educate teens, young adults, parents and communities about the dangers of drugs such as "ecstasy,"" roofies" and GHB, NIDA has created as website to provide science-based information about club drugs to help combat the increasing use of these harmful drugs.

NOPCAS serves as the only national organization of its kind addressing the issue of suicide prevention and intervention, specifically in communities of color. Our primary focus and mission is to increase suicide education and awareness. We offer unique opportunities for outreach partnerships and community education efforts directed at communities of colors across the nation.

NOPCAS aims to:

• promote effective community-based strategies that engage and mobilize communities of color around suicide prevention
• provide professional development and culturally appropriate training opportunities for mental health practitioners, educators, law enforcement personnel, clergy, and local government officials
• provide education and links to support resources and services for persons bereaved by suicide
• produce and disseminate culturally appropriate resources and publications that specifically address suicide prevention, intervention and postvention for communities of color, and
• address the urgent need to create greater awareness of the silent epidemic of depression and suicide in minority communities.

NOPCAS primarily collaborates with minorities and institutions that are ignored or unaware in the area of suicide prevention. To combat this problem, we are currently focusing on creating training materials, manuals, videos and DVDs for dissemination into collaborating communities.

The National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) is a private, nonprofit organization of victim and witness assistance practitioners, criminal justice professionals, researchers, former victims, and others, committed to recognizing victims’ rights in four areas: national and local legislative advocacy, direct victim assistance, member support, and professional development. NOVA coordinates the National Crisis Response Team and the National Crime Victim Information and Referral Hotline.

NAPIESV is a national organization established by API anti-sexual assault advocates to give voice to the experiences of API women and girls who are victims of sexual assault. NAPIESV’s goal is to provide technical assistance to culturally and linguistically specific organizations that are currently serving or attempting to serve victims of sexual assault in the Asian Pacific Islander communities.

The National Organization of Asians and Pacific Islanders Ending Sexual Violence (NAPIESV) is a program under Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity, with a mission to support local and international community-based programs and governmental organizations in enhancing their services to victims of sexual violence from the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the U.S., U.S. Territories in the Pacific, and the Asia.

The National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (SCESA) is a Women of Color led non-profit committed to ensuring that systems-wide policies and social change initiatives related to sexual assault are informed by critical input and direction of Women of Color. As a national advocacy organization, SCESA utilizes a multi-strategy approach of leadership development and support for Women of Color; advocacy and support for organizations by and for Communities of Color; as well as technical assistance, training and advocacy regarding sexual assault in Communities of Color.

We are a hotline for runaway/homeless youth and their families. We’re here 24/7. There is always someone available to listen and offer confidential, non-directive and non-judgemental support.

We’re trained to help. Each team member is prepared to listen to your story, help you handle a crisis and guide you to solutions that will improve your situation.

The National Runaway Switchboard gives help and hope to youth and their families by providing non-judgmental, confidential crisis intervention and local and national referrals through a 24-hour hotline.

The National Sexual Assault Coalition Resource Sharing Project (RSP) was created to help state sexual assault coalitions across the country access the resources they need in order to develop and thrive. The project is designed to provide technical assistance, support, and to facilitate peer-driven resources for all statewide sexual assault coalitions. The RSP recognizes the needs of all coalitions, especially those designated as new or emerging, regarding issues of organizational growth, professional development, and policy development. The RSP is made possible by a grant from the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women.
