About this Organization

The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies was formed in May 2017 when the two leading Jewish services associations – the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies (AJFCA) and the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services (IAJVS) – joined forces.

The Network is an international membership association of more than 150 non profit human service agencies in the United States, Canada and Israel. Its members provide a full range of human services for the Jewish community and beyond, including healthcare, career, employment and mental health services, as well as programs for youth, families and seniors, Holocaust survivors, immigrants and refugees, persons with disabilities and caregivers.

The Network strives to be the leading voice for the Jewish human service sector. As the go-to resource for advocacy, best practices, innovation and research, partnerships and collaborations, The Network strengthens agencies so they can better serve their communities.

JCADA’s mission is to Support victims of domestic abuse to become empowered and obtain safe environments; Educate community professionals and others about domestic abuse and appropriate responses to it; and Prevent future generations from suffering domestic abuse by raising awareness.

JCADA is designed to address the unique needs of Jewish victims and their families in the greater Washington Jewish community. Founded in 1999 in response to a pressing need in the Jewish community, JCADA is a non-profit group allied with a host of organizations whose shared mission to assist victims of domestic abuse to become empowered and obtain safe environments as well as to educate the Jewish community about domestic abuse and appropriate responses to it.

JCADA provides direct clinical services to victims of abuse and their families. Services include: helpline, crisis counseling, safety planning, support groups, and information and referral services.

Hope Recovery is a nonprofit faith-based organization that provides emotional support to survivors of abuse and sexual trauma.  Support services include but are not limited to support groups, newsletters and workshops.  Support services are free to survivors of abuse, who must be at least 18 years of age.  All survivors are welcome.  To access support, go to Our Program page on our website.
