Naida Henao is the Strategic Advocacy Counsel at NVRDC. In this capacity, Naida works collaboratively with NVRDC staff and leadership to identify systemic barriers that impact NVRDC's clients access to justice and create strategic solutions to streamline our advocacy, legal, and communications efforts to combat these barriers. Naida’s role includes providing brief advice to clients, supporting legal staff with complex motions practice, mentoring pro bono counsel who handle impact litigation efforts, and advising on legislative advocacy and policy initiatives. Naida also identifies and creates opportunities for NVRDC to participate in publications, trainings, and speaking engagements on the organization’s areas of expertise. Formerly, Naida was a Bilingual Staff Attorney with NVRDC and represented crime victims in criminal cases, civil protection orders, and Title IX proceedings.
