Updating the "New Resource" Block

To update the "New Resource" block on the homepage, follow these steps:

  1. Go to that block's settings. You can do this in either of the following ways:
    1. Click on this link
    2. Navigate this path starting from from the administrative menu:
      1. Structure
      2. Block layout
      3. Custom block library
      4. New Resource Content > Edit
  2. On the edit page for the "New Resource Content" block, look for the field labeled "Special Projects. In that field, you should see the title of the currently featured resource.
  3. Delete the title in the Special Projects field, and start to type-in the title of the content you want to appear in this block. Titles will begin to appear in a drop-down after the first few letters. When you see the title you want, click on it.
  4. Now that the title of the new content is the Special Projects field, click on the save button.
  5. Check the homepage to see if the correct content now appears in the block.
    1. The homepage will not be served to your browser from the website cache because you are logged-in to an account. Other visitors to the website will be served the old version of the homepage from the website cache until the cache clears (usually in under an hour).
    2. Remember that the New Resource block will use the featured image as the background for this block, and superimpose the title of the resource over that image in white text. Depending on the featured image, this may make the title of the resource difficult or impossible to read.
