Idaho: Language Access

According to census data, about 10.8% (209,415 people) exclusively speak a language other than English at home. 4% of people (71,000 people) are Limited English Proficiency (LEP). About 3% (28,900 people) are classified as having a hearing disability According to the CDC, more than 38,000 people identify as being blind or having a severe difficulty seeing even with glasses. 11% of the population lives below the poverty level and 10.5% of adults are classified as illiterate.
