Recent news reports teem with commentary on the actions of Boy Scouts of America to cover up years of child sexual abuse allegations. Referred to as the “Perversion Files,” reports of adults sexually abusing scouts spanned decades, from 1970-1991.

People incarcerated in U.S. Detention Centers face the reality of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment every day. In the wake of the Sandusky trial, I often heard reference to “real justice” being served once he was in prison. Rape in prison is commonly acknowledged as widespread.
