Conference is closed.
The
National Sexual Assault Conference is a two and a half day, advocacy-based
conference providing advanced training opportunities and information to sexual
violence prevention educators, anti-sexual violence advocates, counselors,
health care professionals, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, social workers,
psychologists, and public health workers.
The conference will provide a forum for dialogues on sexual violence prevention
and intervention as well as offer advanced training and professional growth
opportunities. Workshop topics include advocating multiculturalism and the
impact of sexual violence on people of color.
The conference will also feature educational exhibits and art exhibits--including
artwork from the Juarez Photo Exhibit--all taking place in Renaissance Harborplace
Hotel in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland.
Don't miss this national training opportunity!
Rosh Hashana
Morning and evening services for Rosh Hashana will be conducted by Rabbi
Yuter at the B'nai Israel Congregation, which is within walking distance
from the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel. Participants who observe Rosh Hashana
can obtain tickets by calling 410-732-5454 prior to August 1, 2007. Critical Conversations Forum
To support the conference theme of building bridges to social change, space
will be provided for individuals to gather to discuss emerging issues and
critical needs. These forums will be guided by the needs of conference
attendees. If you are interested in facilitating a critical conversation,
please submit your name, contact information and critical conversation
topic to resources@nsvrc.org by August 29. These forums will provide participants
with a unique opportunity to gather insight on priority issues.
