You're invited to this year's statewide sexual violence prevention conference entitled Strategies for Engaging Youth in Sexual Violence Prevention. This event is all about youth engagement and developing youth leaders to promote sexual violence prevention. Anyone that is interested in working with teens or young adults will benefit from the innovative practices and engaging workshops offered at this 2-day conference.
The event will feature men with their hearts in the right place, walking in high heels to help educate others about gender violence. Women and girls are invited to walk, too.
''The top 12 individuals who raise the most funds for the Rape Crisis Center will receive a red chocolate stiletto by Fairlawn's own North Coast Expressions,'' said event spokeswoman Mary Hartz. ''The chocolate stiletto may also be purchased by family and friends walking in the event or for any shoe lover. The limited edition red stiletto designed specifically for the event will be offered now through April 29 for $30, with $5 from the sale of every shoe going to the Rape Crisis Center.''

It's in honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
