The event will feature men with their hearts in the right place, walking in high heels to help educate others about gender violence. Women and girls are invited to walk, too.

''The top 12 individuals who raise the most funds for the Rape Crisis Center will receive a red chocolate stiletto by Fairlawn's own North Coast Expressions,'' said event spokeswoman Mary Hartz. ''The chocolate stiletto may also be purchased by family and friends walking in the event or for any shoe lover. The limited edition red stiletto designed specifically for the event will be offered now through April 29 for $30, with $5 from the sale of every shoe going to the Rape Crisis Center.''

Registration is 5 to 6 p.m.
 

Thursday night dozens of students and parents and community members gathered in the parking lot of St. Martin de Porres High School to take a stand against sexual violence.

It's in honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Participants rallied against domestic violence and sexual assault before marching, holding signs and chanting.

Take Back the Night is organized by students and teachers at St. Martin de Porres High School, with support from Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, the Domestic Violence Center of Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Sexual Assault Response Team.
