Survivors and Allies Task Force Meetings are held to bring Wisconsin survivors and their allies together so they may network and discuss new developments in the sexual assault movement. It is important to make the connection between the two groups. The purpose of the meeting is to provide survivors with opportunities to voice their concerns and suggestions about current issues that the sexual assault movement is facing.
Proceeds from the walk will go toward Safe Harbor's Sexual Assault and PEACE group. The cost is $15 per walker, and refreshments and favors will be provided.
This is the second annual event. Last year, 60 walkers, including members of agencies including Safe Harbor, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Sheboygan County Victim Witness and Lakeland College participated, raising $472.
