The Wellesley Centers for Women (WCW) unites the Center for Research on Women and the Stone Center for Developmental Services and Studies in an interdisciplinary community of scholars engaged in research, training, analysis and action. The Wellesley Centers for Women is home to the Women’s Rights Network, the National Violence Against Women Prevention Research Center and projects on family violence and on sexual harassment in schools.

Our work is guided by the teachings of Pte’ San Win to restore the spirt of every individual who seeks our help in their time of need. Womankind brings critical resources and deep cultural competency to help survivors of all ages find refuge, recovery, and renewal from domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence. Through our programs, we offer a wide variety of services in 18+ Asian languages and dialects, including: a toll-free 24/7 multilingual helpline, safe and confidential emergency housing, culturally-informed counseling, family law and immigration legal assistance, wellness activities, creative arts therapy, support groups, and economic empowerment workshops. We are an expert in serving Asian communities, yet our services are valuable and available to all. Whether in our services or in our increasing advocacy and policy work, Womankind first centers the survivor by uplifting them to control their own lives and narratives.

The YWCA of the U.S.A. is a national women’s organization with 309 local affiliates. Local YWCA’s offer a variety of services including services for victims of domestic violence and rape, emergency and long term housing, child care and youth development programs, employment training, women’s health programs, resource and referral services and advocacy. Its mission: the empowerment of women and girls and the elimination of racism.
