Men Can Stop Rape empowers male youth and the institutions that serve them to work as allies with women in preventing rape and other forms of men’s violence. Through awareness-to-action education and community organizing, they promote gender equity and build young men’s capacity to be strong without being violent.

The mission of S.T.O.P. Violence Against Indian Women Technical Assistance Project is to assist Native sovereign nations to improve their response to Indian women who are victimized by domestic violence and sexual assault and restore safety and integrity to them. To achieve this mission they have identified training, technical assistance and resource development as their main areas of focus.

This organization works to improve the way systems and services respond to violence against Indian women.  They work to improve safety for Native women who experience battering, sexual assault, and stalking by assisting tribes through training, technical assistance, and resource material specifically addressing violence against American Indian/Alaskan Native women.

MHP Salud promotes the Community Health Worker (CHW) profession nationally as a culturally appropriate strategy to improve health and implements CHW programs to empower underserved Latino communities.

The Indigenous Women’s Life Net (IWLN) program provides supportive services for American Indian survivors of sexual and domestic assault. The program offers the following:

• Housing advocacy
• Domestic and sexual assault advocacy
• Transportation assistance
• Case management
• Life skills
• Cultural healing activities
• Weekly education groups

MIWRC programs provide support, advocacy, and activities that utilize traditional teachings and other cultural strengths to encourage healing, build resilience, and counter the normalization of violence.

Our program departments collaborate to:

• Empower Native American women to live violence-free lives

• Provide a safe place for women to explore their life options

• Challenge systems that disenfranchise Native American women

• Create a more just environment for all women and their families

Through unity we will strengthen our voices
and build resources to create awareness and eliminate sexual violence against Indian women and children. We will vigorously apply our efforts toward influencing social change and reclaim our traditional values that honor the sovereignty of Indian women and children.
