Tana Fedewa has been the director of the MSU Center for Survivors since 2015. She graduated from MSU with a master’s degree in clinical social work. Fedewa has worked as a crisis counselor, advocate and therapist for survivors of domestic violence, child sexual abuse and sexual assault over the course of her career. In 2014, she joined MSU as a sexual assault program therapist. She advocates for trauma-informed services, response and interventions at MSU and within the neighboring communities. She serves on the MSU Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Expert Advisory Workgroup as an advisory group to the President of the University. In 2019 Fedewa was awarded a fellowship with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Leadership Program. Fedewa has expanded the Center for Survivors services to include a 24/7 Sexual Assault Healthcare Program, a crisis chat program, a canine advocate, a trauma-informed law enforcement interview room, Title IX claimant advisors, and a campus Sexual Assault Response Team (SART).
