The countdown is on! We’re 20 days out from the first day of April – the start of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The SAAM website is full of excellent resources to optimize outreach during this year’s campaign. Whether you’re looking for a run-down on how to plan your first SAAM campaign or just a graphic to help promote your event, we’ve got you covered.
Campaign Planning Materials
If you’re looking for how-to and tips on creating a campaign and event planning, look no further. Our resources will help you reach your goals during SAAM. You can find useful tools like a sample letter to the editor and our campaign toolkit, which offers talking points for the media.
The brochure and prevention fact sheets are the cornerstone pieces of this year’s campaign. They spread awareness about the building blocks of prevention for many different audiences including individuals, communities, and the private sector. These resources, along with the campaign poster, help everyone to see their role in sexual violence prevention. You can download your free campaign poster here.
Reaching online audiences throughout the month is critical as well, and the social media toolkit breaks down the content available to push out during SAAM. Some highlights include the SAAM Facebook profile picture, the Instagram contest called the 30 Days of SAAM, and Facebook and Twitter cover photos. The toolkit also identifies key events happening throughout the month such as the SAAM Day of Action on Tuesday, April 5th.
