National award honors rape prevention advocate
ENOLA, PA – The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) are pleased to present Alison Hall, Executive Director of Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, with the annual Gail Burns-Smith Award. Hall will be honored during the National Sexual Assault Conference in Baltimore on Sept. 14-16.
Like the majority of the nation, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) was following the media coverage of the Casey Anthony trial. Although we do not know what exactly happened in Florida during June 2008, that led to the death of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, we are aware that during the court proceedings there were allegations that Caylee’s mother, Casey, was sexually abused by members of her family.
Like many, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) has been following the media coverage of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former-IMF chief who was indicted on multiple charges that he sexually assaulted a Manhattan hotel employee.
