Parker's expert witness legislation headed for governor
HARRISBURG, June 21 – State Rep. Cherelle L. Parker, D-Phila., said she is proud that her legislation to allow for expert witness testimony in sexual assault trials is headed for the governor's desk. The House concurred unanimously in Senate amendments to H.B.1264 today.
(HARRISBURG) The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape is urging Pennsylvanians to contact WBEB 101.1FM in Philadelphia and express their displeasure with the station’s decision to deny PCAR radio advertising space for its HERO Project campaign.
The station denied PCAR space because the 30-second public service announcement, urging adults to report child sexual abuse, contained the words ‘rape’ and ‘sexual.’
National Relief Fund Presents Money to Iowa Rape Crisis Centers
At 2 PM on Wednesday July 30, 2008, Karen Baker, Director of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), will present checks to three Iowa centers impacted by recent flooding. The presentation will take place in Cedar Rapids at the Waypoint program, 318 5th Street SE.
