The Ending Violence Against Native Women Training Institute provides a strong foundation for advocates and their allies to work effectively with their own programs and within a coordinated response. The Institute begins with a one day plenary session to build a shared understanding of the dynamics of violence against native women and highlights coordinated community response initiatives. Join members of the Rensselaer County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and other professionals from healthcare, law enforcement, higher education, counseling/advocacy, and prosecution for a one-day conference on responding effectively to victims/survivors of sexual assault and rape.
All conference attendees will participate in aninteractive plenary session in which presenters will highlight the benefits of working as a multidisciplinary team to respond to sexual assault and rape. Attendees can then choose to attend more specific training sessions based on their discipline and
