Tapestri is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to ending violence and oppression in immigrant and refugee communities using culturally competent and linguistically appropriate methods. As advocates for immigrants and refugees affected by human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and exploitation, Tapestri uses education, community organizing, direct services, and advocacy to improve the lives of those it serves. Tapestri provides comprehensive case management to foreign national victims of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence and Unaccompanied Minors across the state of Georgia.

AMANI WOMEN CENTER (AWC) enriches the lives of refugee communities in Georgia and empowers them in their new environment by providing educational programs, and a variety of human and social services. We serve these women and children once their resettlement services benefits end and when they are faced with the challenges of providing for themselves and their families. AWC fills this important gap by providing 3 unique programs utilizing a holistic approach designed to build and sustain healthy families within the home and the community.

Georgia Equality’s mission is to advance fairness, safety and opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities and our allies throughout the state.

Founded in 1995, we are two organizations – united with a common vision but serving unique functions in our work to achieve equality. Georgia Equality, Inc. works year-round to pass pro-equality legislation and elect fair-minded elected officials. Through the Equality Foundation of Georgia, we conduct voter registration and educational activities, provide information to decision makers, and work to organize and mobilize LGBTQ residents and allies to advance equality in urban, suburban, and rural communities across the state.

Raksha, meaning protection in several South Asian languages, is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization for the South Asian Community. Raksha’s general direct services include crisis intervention, information and referrals, interpretation and translation, legal and general advocacy, individual and family counseling with children and adults encompassing a variety of issues facing the South Asian community. In addition to these services, we participated in a variety of community building and economic empowerment initiatives.

Our programs are designed to enrich the lives of children and families experiencing homelessness with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to break the cycles of homelessness and poverty. Raksha — meaning “protection” in several South Asian languages — is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization for the South Asian community. Though we primarily serve the South Asian community, we provide services to all those who face similar barriers to justice, regardless of ability, country of origin, race, religion, caste, socioeconomic status, gender identity, age, immigration status, or sexual orientation. Raksha’s mission is to promote a stronger and healthier South Asian community through confidential support services, education, and advocacy. Guided by values of consensus in decision-making, diversity in leadership, and the dignity and worth of every individual, Raksha strives to empower and serve the South Asian community.

The National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) guides national efforts to reduce the incidence, severity and adverse outcomes of intentional and unintentional injury in the United States. As the lead federal agency for injury prevention, NCIPC works closely with other federal agencies and national, state and local organizations to reduce injury, disability, and premature death caused by motor-vehicle crashes, fires, drownings, poisonings, homicides and suicides, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, child maltreatment and other violent acts and preventable injuries.

Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) operates a 24-hour hotline for victims of sexual assault. Callers are routed automatically to the closest member rape crisis center for counseling. More than 890 centers participate in the network.
