Survivors and Allies Task Force Meetings are held to bring Wisconsin survivors and their allies together so they may network and discuss new developments in the sexual assault movement. It is important to make the connection between the two groups. The purpose of the meeting is to provide survivors with opportunities to voice their concerns and suggestions about current issues that the sexual assault movement is facing.

A Call to Men will host its first academy in Wisconsin.The purpose of the ACTMen Academy is to bring men and women together to engage in an intensive four-day hands-on, inspirational, and transformational experience. The primary goal is to assist men and women in their development as trainers and community organizers in order to advance efforts to engage men and boys in domestic and sexual violence prevention. Registration is $300.
Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in the U.S. Department of Justice sponsors the National Victim Assistance Academy (NVAA). The NVAA is comprised of education and skill-based classroom trainings for those who assist victims and survivors of crime in the United States, including the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, and any other territory or possession of the United States. While international applicants may apply to attend the Academy, please note that the training is not designed to meet the needs of the specific target populations who live outside of the United States. If accepted to attend, international applicants must cover all expenses involved and are responsible to obtain the appropriate documents necessary for travel to and within the United States.
