This three-day conference will provide an opportunity for more than 300 victim service providers and allied professionals to enhance their skills, network, and rejuvenate. We will focus on promising practices and programs throughout Pennsylvania and the nation. Join us for national keynote speakers, informative workshops, and the presentation of the Governor’s Victim Service Pathfinder Awards.We welcome participants in all aspects of victim services - community-based victim advocates, victim-witness coordinators, prevention educators, survivors, probation officers, adult and juvenile court personnel, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, social workers, and health care providers. This conference is NOT limited to only Pennsylvania residents. Persons from all states are welcome to attend. More information will be added to this Web site as it becomes available. Calling all communities to unite and take a stand against domestic and sexual violence!
--March to take back the streets starting at one of four locations heading to the First Unitarian Church.
--Speak out and breaking the silence; storytelling and sharing about living with and surviving violence, abuse, and oppression.
--A candlelight vigil to remember those still fighting, those lost to violence, and those surviving.
Marches starting at all 4 locations at 5:45 pm Sharp:
North: 22nd and Spring Garden Streets
South: 21st and Washington Avenue
East: 13th and Locust Streets
West: 34th and Chestnut Streets
Shatter the silence. Stop the violence.
The speak out is open to men and women, straight or GLBTQ who are survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; and their allies. This event is to be a safer place for those who need to speak about their experiences so they are not silent and not feeling alone.
