The York Revolution, in partnership with the YWCA York, is hosting the first annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event on Friday, April 23, 2010. The event is sponsored by the Glatfelter Agency. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international march, aimed at stopping rape, sexual assault and gender violence, where men take part in a mile-long walk in women’s high heels. Registration Information

This will be a rare opportunity for members of your agency to participate in a dynamic training experience that is designed especially for persons working in the victim service field. This interactive two-day training will provide victim service providers (including counselors, prevention/education specialists, and directors) with the knowledge, self-awareness, skills and tools for living and working in an increasingly diverse society. Special attention will be focused on effectively working in a diverse professional arena as well as serving a diverse client base. This training will affirm and challenge participants personally and professionally in their journey towards understanding and working in the context of human differences.
