The workshop highlights the collaborations between SPAN and other organizations committed to the same outcomes.

The Vagina Monologues, the award winning episodic play by Eve Ensler, will be making an appearance in the Denver community this April. This event is being sponsored by the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA), the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA), and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. This benefit performance will raise funds for CCASA and COVA to provide services for victims of sexual assault throughout the state. All ticket proceeds benefit CCASA and COVA and will help their work with women in Colorado. 

The 2009 Denver production of the Vagina Monologues is comprised of a group of wonderful women from the Denver community who are coming together to raise funds for sexual assault victims in Colorado. The cast includes 23 fantastic women from Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, Project Safeguard, the Denver Foundation, college students, sex columnists and much more!

The Responding to Crime Victims with Disabilities National Training Conference is scheduled for September 30-October 2, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. Content tracks for the conference include foundations, individual responses, systems and community responses, and innovative collaborative efforts.
The National Professional Training Conference on Responding to Crime Victims with Disabilities will serve to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of providers to better serve people with disabilities who are victims of crime, abuse, and neglect. The conference will facilitate partnerships among the fields of victim assistance, advocacy for persons with disabilities, and allied professions for conference participation.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is pleased to present this targeted technical assistance project to strengthen the Office on Violence Against Women’s (OVW) sustainability efforts regarding Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Programs. Through the provision of free on-site technical assistance, information dissemination and follow-up consultation, this project aims to build sustainable SANE programs by increasing access to information, building SANE program staff capacity and enhancing collaborative efforts between victim advocates and forensic nurses.
