What is SAAM?

In the United States April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities on how to prevent it.

Sexual violence is a major public health, human rights and social justice issue. We need everyone’s help to end it. Thank you for getting involved and for supporting SAAM efforts.

Since 2001 the NSVRC supports SAAM organizers with resources, tools and training. You can ask us questions about sexual violence, prevention, or planning a campaign.

Thank you!

SAAM involves vital partners in the anti-sexual violence movement and allied fields. NSVRC staff work with a committee of experts and NSVRC Advisory Council Members to plan resources and efforts. SAAM en Español would not be possible without support from the Multilingual Access Project (MAPA) partners. Thank you for your support!
