Preventing Sexual Violence on Campus

The SAAM 2015 campaign provides resources on campus sexual violence prevention. Help us create communities that prevent violence and build campuses that respond well. Everyone can play a role in creating safer campuses. Take action to prevent sexual violence. 

This is a toolkit for advocates, campus personnel, students, and allies. These materials can be used to engage the entire community to take action to end sexual assault.

This toolkit explores how social media tools can help spread awareness and advocate for social change. Daily posts for Twitter and conversation starters for Facebook promote online involvement in Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Sample Letter to the Editor

This sample letter to the editor provides a template for addressing sexual violence on college campuses for local or campus media outlets. This letter can be customized or used generically as a media advocacy tool during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Reporting on sexual violence is a difficult task and we appreciate the media’s commitment to doing so with integrity. The NSVRC created a packet for journalists about reporting on sexual violence.
