This eNewsletter features a variety of new materials exploring the intersections between substance abuse and violence against women through both the experiences of survivors and the abusive tactics of perpetrators. The article briefly discusses the data results gathered from interviews of women revealing that women who experienced any type of sexual abuse in their childhood were roughly three times more likely than unabused girls to report drug dependence as adults.
