This survey examines the access and inconsistent application of emergency contraceptives within the Indian Health Service system. This study looked at two major issues: the availability of Plan B as an OTC drug and the availability of Plan B during the delivery of sexual assault services. 

This review evaluates how parenting programs succeed at: 1) eliminating child abuse as manifest in official reports and in-person assessments; 2) altering parenting behaviors or attitudes associated with abuse; 3) enhancing parent-child relationships and positive parenting skills as buffers against abuse.

This guide provides information on developing gender literate sexuality education designed for policymakers, curriculum developers, and educators in order to develop sexuality/HIV education materials that also teach critical thinking about gender norms and roles. 

  This three-page fact sheet presents a brief overview of the bystander intervention approach to sexual violence prevention, key points about this type of intervention, evidence-based outcomes regarding the effectiveness of the approach and key resources for finding additional information about this model. Research on juvenile sex offenders goes back more than half a century; however, little information about these young offenders and their offenses exists. This Bulletin draws on data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Incident-Based Reporting System to provide population-based epidemiological information on juvenile sex offending.

It is OJJDP’s hope that the findings reported in this Bulletin and their implications will help inform the policy and practice of those committed to addressing the sexual victimization of youth and strengthening its preven-tion and deterrence—considerations that are critical to success.
