Oversee prevention and evaluation program efforts, Special Initiatives and Vision of Hope projects, and the development of educational resources by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Resource Development – the Prevention & Resource Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Special Initiatives and Vision of Hope projects, managing the PCAR Library Collection, and partnering with other members of the Training & Technical Assistance Team in creating resources and materials.
Contribute articles to PCAR/NSVRC newsletters.
Assist with development and editing of educational brochures and materials, technical assistance bulletins, fact sheets, and information packets.
Assist in and/or facilitate the development of curricula, including negotiating curricula development details with consultants as needed.
Work in conjunction with the Finance and Contracts staff to assure compliance with contracts governing Special Initiative and Vision of Hope projects.
Recruit staff and at least one outside reviewer for Special Initiative proposals.
Assist as a liaison to all programs with Special Initiative and Vision of Hope grants.
Coordinate the review, publication and distribution of all Special Initiative and Vision of Hope programmatic materials and accompanying trainings.
Oversee the evaluation of the Special Initiative and Vision of Hope materials.
Coordinate and assist PCAR Training & Technical Assistance Team in the development, creation, and publishing of online learning products.
Coordinate schedule for quarterly Technical Assistance Bulletins – post finished resources to PCAR website and disseminate to local programs.
Training – the Prevention & Resource Coordinator serves on the Training & Technical Assistance team and is responsible for providing, coordinating, or facilitating trainings around prevention and related topics.
Coordinate and facilitate quarterly regional meetings for sexual assault program prevention education staff.
Coordinate and facilitate periodic mandated reporter training of trainers.
Provide training and technical assistance to preventionists and sexual assault center staff on promising prevention and evaluation strategies.
Participate in PCAR prevention planning, advising development of standards, policies and protocols around prevention and evaluation.
Support national efforts around prevention and evaluation capacity-building and resource development.
Represent PCAR with other state and national organizations as required.
Participate as a member of various internal and external workgroups relevant to job role.
Attend board and other meetings as required.
Directly supervises 0 positions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree with program evaluation experience or Master’s degree in liberal arts field with concentration in public health, sociology, women’s studies, gender studies, or related field from college or university; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong writing and editing skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to perform basic statistical analyses using Excel and/or other statistical packages. Ability to explain evaluation processes in practical and accessible ways.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
