With the knowledge gained through this training process and their own expertise in sexual assault, local civilian victim advocates will be able to serve as knowledgeable resources to military installations. To prepare for the 2014 series of training events, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) through its Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC) and in collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO), have updated the training curriculum to reflect FY2013 DoD data and new victim assistance related programs and policies.
