DESCRIPTION: Jurisdictions, organizations, and individuals will have the opportunity to listen to and participate in a presentation on effectively engaging foundations as strategic partners. PURPOSE: Foundations are a source of sustainability funding. Participants will learn about a myriad of foundation types and funding resources. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:- Introduce participants to the culture of philanthropy- Provide an overview of the steps and tools needed to approach foundations and philanthropies- Introduce participants to philanthropic resource organizationsPRESENTERS: Stephanie McGencey, Executive Director, Grantmakers for Children, Youth & FamiliesLyman Legters, Senior Director, Casey Family Programs
