The Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence seeks a Writer/ Editor for a full-time position beginning in May 2013. MCADSV, established in 1980, is a growing social-justice agency with a membership of individuals and more than 100 member agencies working to end domestic and sexual violence. MCADSV has a 14-member staff and a reputation for excellence in publications and training. 

The MCADSV Writer/Editor is a salaried position responsible for writing, editing and proofreading all organizational publications, educational materials, training manuals. Responsible for publications ranging from brochures to manuals, newsletters to training curriculum, website updates to Facebook posts. Must be able to work in multiple media formats and communicate with varied audiences.

The Writer/ Editor is directly supervised by the MCADSV Chief Operating Officer and generally supervised by the CEO. The person in this position works extensively with the Graphic Design Director.

MCADSV seeks a highly organized and experienced professional with a degree in journalism or communications and/or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in written communications, publications, copyediting required. A working knowledge of publications software including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, and Windows operating system and program is preferred. This position’s primary duties are carried out in Jefferson City
