The Executive Director is responsible for the overall effective operation and administration of CCADV in accordance with the stated mission and vision. Must be a strong, experienced leader with a track record of success. Significant experience in management, supervision, fundraising, grant writing, program and policy development for a non-profit domestic violence, women’s rights, social justice or comparable organization is required.  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as proven organizational management and development skills. An ideal candidate will have a proven record of procuring foundation and other non-governmental grants. Leadership experience in an organization committed to social change and the elimination of domestic violence is essential.  Personal assets will include integrity, high energy, excellent listening and relational skills, and a sense of humor.

Also desirable: Attention to detail, emotional intelligence, a keen analytical ability, experience with advocacy and training, knowledge of and passion for social justice work. Must be aligned with CCADV feminist policy on violence against women.  Travel is required; a valid driver’s license and a good driving record necessary.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human service related field, the Executive Director provides leadership and management for all organization matters, ensures that organizational responsibilities are fulfilled, including state and federal contracts, represents the organization in public arenas and has primary oversight for organizational fundraising. The successful candidate will have proven ability to lead and manage a nonprofit organization that works to eliminate domestic violence in Colorado.
