The Community Health Educator provides outreach and delivery of sexuality education programs to a variety of community organizations and schools. This position also involves delivery of evidence- based HIV prevention interventions in a variety of community settings. The educator assesses services and programs, develops lesson plans, curricula and evaluation material; initiates outreach efforts, provides reports, represents the agency and contributes to the education team.
This FT position could be based in either York or Harrisburg, but regular travel between the two areas will be required.
Familiarity with family planning services, HIV/AIDS prevention, and sexuality education a plus.
Two years of experience as an educator, trainer, or in community service.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and problem-solve.
Reliable transportation; frequent travel required.
Education: BA/BS in related field required.
