  • Communicate regularly with students, school staff, family and community,
  • Willing to work some nights and weekends, from your home and have car,
  • Willing to work really hard, understand the power of art and music and not afraid to have fun while cultivating good to end bad.
Salary Level: 
$32,000 - $34,000

Description: 

Peer Solutions is hiring a new STAND & SERVE Coordinator. STAND & SERVE is a primary prevention initiative working with schools, families and communities to cultivate safety, equality, and respect as norms to prevent sexual, family, relationship, school and gang violence, child abuse, homelessness, substance abuse, poor school performance and much more before they begin.

You will be facilitating weekly lunch time and afterschool workshops and service projects on and off campus with students in elementary through secondary traditional and non-traditional settings. You will build relationships with families, schools staff and community members to maximize ownership and commitment to prevention. You will participate in on-going training activities locally and nationally and will have the opportunity to cultivate positive change for generations. Preferred: Spanish speaker.

Currently a 32 hour a week position with vacation and benefits slated for full time October 2010 or sooner.
