Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. Computer skills necessary; experience with social networking, podcasting and web 2.0 preferred; website design and html coding skills preferred but not required. Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in social justice, social change work related to sexual violence prevention and anti-oppression or related field strongly preferred.
A successful candidate will also have:
Experience in social justice, systems advocacy and social change work relating to sexual assault.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to issues of cultural diversity as well as to meeting the needs of underserved communities.
Computer proficiency, with a preference for substantial on-line communication, electronic database management and website design expertise.
Experience with multimedia and video editing preferred.
Strong and demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, including meeting facilitation and public speaking experience.
Demonstrated team-building, time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Experience in providing technical assistance, including the assessment of need, development and delivery of reports, proposals and follow-up and evaluation.
Ability to travel nationally.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center serves as the principle information and resource center in the United States regarding all aspects of sexual violence. It provides national leadership, consultation and technical assistance by generating and facilitating the development and flow of information on sexual violence intervention and prevention strategies. The NSVRC works to address the causes and impact of sexual violence through collaboration, prevention efforts and the distribution of resources.
The Online Resource Specialist is responsible for providing high quality resources regarding sexual violence prevention to agencies and individuals through web based technologies. Work includes outreach, assessment, training, content development and content review. The Online Resource Specialist also acts as a liaison to anti-sexual violence and anti-oppression organizations working at local, state, tribal, territory, national and international levels regarding the use of technology to advance prevention work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in the development of strategic plan and procedures to maintain current, user-friendly, responsive, accessible and informative national website.
Manage NSVRC website content development and provide training to staff regarding website content management system and accessibility requirements.
Manage NSVRC electronic outreach campaign through management of listservs, creation of enewsletters and email announcements.
Assist with the development and implementation of special projects, including, but not limited to, coordinating VAWnet.org sexual assault initiatives.
Maintain NSVRC’s sexual violence online learning tool portal which includes creating, researching, evaluating and cataloguing online learning tools.
Assist in the development, editing and distribution of NSVRC podcasts.
Serve on NSVRC Research Committee.
Participate in conferences, workshops and trainings for the purposes of identifying new resources and emerging issues, conducting outreach, providing training and education on web based resources and building collaborative partnerships.
Research and develop plans to address sexual assault emerging and priority issues through technology.
Provide technical assistance that is responsive to the needs of the anti-sexual violence activist community, victims and survivors of sexual violence, particularly those in currently underserved or marginalized communities.
Assist in the coordination of collaborative quarterly meetings between the National Sexual Violence Resource Center and National Resource Center on Domestic Violence specific to technology, content development and technical assistance.
Work closely with the NSVRC Librarian to identify online resources and abstract and catalogue them for easy retrieval.
Participate in NSVRC staff meetings and in-service trainings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reporting regarding online activities.
