Campus-recommendations-coverThis document provides a summary of recommendations that the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center submitted to the White House Task Force to Protest Students from Sexual Assault. On February 26, 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report Intimate Partner Violence in the United States- 2010.  The National Sexual Violence Resource provides this set of talking points for highlights on the findings related to sexual violence. The National Alliance to End Sexual Violence created a one page fact sheet describing the housing protections implemented by the Violence Against Women Act and implications for survivors of sexual violence.

Issue 20 of Strategies in Brief newsletter discusses using asset forfeiture laws to help deter and disrupt trafficking activities and to help provide victims with monetary support as they begin to rebuild their lives.

 

Issue 21 of the Strategies In Brief Newsletter discusses ways that prosecutors and allied criminal justice professionals can help to return property to victims of human trafficking.

In the January 2014 edition of the Reshape newsletter, Eric Stiles discusses the practice of creating sensitive and informed spaces for men and boys accessing services at sexual assault programs. Using trauma-informed strategies and the practice of meeting survivors where they are at, he promotes gender inclusive spaces and programming.
