Just Detention International

About this Organization

JDI advocates for the safety and well-being of all inmates, whether they are confined in federal, state, or local facilities -- both private and public -- including prisons, jails, juvenile facilities, immigration detention centers, halfway houses, and police lock-ups. JDI works to: hold government officials accountable for prisoner rape; promote public attitudes that value the dignity and safety of inmates; and ensure that survivors of this violence have access to the help they need.

Funded by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, this Center seeks to identify the types of information currently being captured by state and local agencies. Korean Community Center of the East Bay

Korean Community Center of the East Bay (KCCEB) is a multi-service agency serving the Korean American community throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Shimtuh is the domestic violence and sexual assault program of KCCEB. Shimtuh offers crisis line support, domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy and counseling for women and children, and community organizing and education on domestic and sexual violence in Korean faith-based communities and other sectors of the community. Products include Korean-specific videos, curriculum and pamphlets on domestic violence. All services and education are offered in Korean and English.
