Latinas Organizing for Leadership & Advocacy (LOLA)
Topics include:
? The history of the reproductive justice movement
? The basics of community organizing
? Skills for launching a reproductive justice campaign
After the training, LOLA graduates will continue to be part of NLIRH’s larger network of Latina advocates (with activists in Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Minnesota, Florida and Illinois) as well as become leaders on reproductive justice issues in their communities. Applications are due by April 23, 2008. The training is free and food will be provided as well as child care upon request. This training will be conducted entirely in Spanish, basic proficiency in understanding and speaking Spanish is required.
