Investigation and Prosecution of Strangulation Assaults Domestic Violence Offenders and Their Victims: Understanding the Deadly Dance Featured Speakers: DR. VERONIQUE VALLIERE is a licensed psychologist and has her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology of Rutgers University. She has 18 years experience in the field and has worked with domestic violence offenders and their victims, sexual offenders and victims, and substance abuse. A sought-after speaker, she has published on the treatment of sexual offenders and presented on the same at national and local sexual offender conferences. She has trained Pennsylvania State Parole agents, local and state agencies, treatment professionals, police officers, and judges on violence issues. GAEL STRACK, ESQ. is a former San Diego prosecutor, who, with Dr. George MacClean, pioneered the investigation and prosecution of non-lethal strangulation in a manner that has been duplicated across the country. As a common component of domestic and sexual violence, she will offer techniques of investigation, documentation of injuries and successful prosecution that will hold perpetrators of this serious crime accountable.
