National Victim Assistance Academy (NVAA)
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in the U.S. Department of Justice sponsors the National Victim Assistance Academy (NVAA). The NVAA is comprised of education and skill-based classroom trainings for those who assist victims and survivors of crime in the United States, including the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, and any other territory or possession of the United States. While international applicants may apply to attend the Academy, please note that the training is not designed to meet the needs of the specific target populations who live outside of the United States. If accepted to attend, international applicants must cover all expenses involved and are responsible to obtain the appropriate documents necessary for travel to and within the United States.
