Real Teens Real Pressures: Building a collective Consciousness in the Prevention and Response to Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Violence

National speakers, including Jean Kilbourne, Ed.D., Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, Ph.D, and Nan Stein, Ed.D will examine the prevalence of sexual harassment and gender-based violence that teens face, its effects on teens in school, relationships, mental and physical health, future victimization or perpetration, and academic success. Presenters will look at the root causes of sexual harassment and gender-based violence as well as the legal implications for schools. As a learning community, participants will explore promising primary prevention strategies in preventing adolescent peer-to-peer sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
