Girls, who understood the link between popular culture messaging and real violence against women, were infuriated by a t-shirt that depicted a boy pushing a girl down with the caption "Problem solved." And so they did something about it! After writing letters, circulating petitions, and speaking at a press conference, the t-shirt was removed from store shelves. In this webinar, Lyn Mikel Brown, Ed.D. will talk about the importance and influence of girl activism to create change large and small. She will share many examples of girls making change, and will provide tools that we as adults can use to encourage girls to use their voices.
