BJS/JRSA 2010 National Conference

This conference focuses on the use of research and statistics
to improve justice system policies and practices. The conference
brings together justice professionals from government
and academia to share the latest data and research, discuss
ways of improving the quality of justice data and research in
the states, and promote the use of data and research in policy
development. The program includes more than 20 panel sessions
on systemwide topics (see list below), as well as plenary discussions
on current justice issues.
In conjunction with the conference, we will offer pre- and postconference
skill-building seminars on October 26, 27, and 30, on risk
assessment, conducting statewide crime victimization surveys, costbenefit
analysis, improving presentation skills and tools, evaluation
methods and related issues, evidence-based programs and practices,
and effectiveWeb site content and design.
