VIBS Family Violence and Rape Crisis Center, in collaboration with Stony Brook University Medical Center and the School of Nursing is pleased to offer the first SANE/SAFE training program on Long Island (NY). This comprehansive 40 hour course will offer instruction on how to provide a medical assessment and collect forensic evidence in cases of adult or adolescent sexual assault or rape, eligibility to become a NYS SAFE, 40 CEU's, and a free course text and manual. This training is anticipated to recieve New York State Department of Health accreditation on or around October 1st, 2010.
