Strategies for Justice: Advanced Investigation and Prosecution of Child Abuse and Exploitation

Strategies for Justice offers an advanced training for experienced child abuse professionals in an environment that reinforces the importance of collaboration.

Participants will explore the linkages between child abuse, intimate partner violence, and animal abuse.

Medical presentations will focus on the cases that are often struggled to investigate appropriatel, such as:

  • Serial child torute/neglect
  • Strangulation
  • Drowning
  • Hypothermia
  • Hyperthermia
  • Burns

Strategies for Justice includes a full day of sessions dedicated to imporving our institutional responses to child victims of prostitution/human trafficking. Investigative and trial strategies will be outlined in full tracks by discipline. Strategies for Justice includes tracks addressing victim resources, victim outreach, forensic interviewing, working effectively with criminal justice, and community based task forces.
