The 2nd International Conference on the Survivors of Rape will take place in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The aim of the conference is to discuss rape-related issues with practitioners and researchers from all around the world as a consciously multidisciplinary effort. Delegates will include psychologists, social workers, (forensic) doctors, nurses, police, journalists, sexologists and politicians. The programme is wide-ranging and consists of a pre-conference, two full days of oral presentations, workshops, poster presentations and a (fee-included) dinner-party.
 
The keynote speaker will be Professor Rebecca Campbell from Michigan State University (USA). Her research focuses on sexual assault and how the legal, medical and mental systems respond to the needs of rape survivors. Invited European speakers are Sarah Bal (Belgium), Rikke Holm Bramsen (Denmark), Gitte Christensen (Denmark), Grete Dyb (Norway) and Ole Ingemann-Hansen (Denmark). Dutch invited speakers are Hans Berghout, Willy van Berlo, Alice Bouman-Dentener, Nelleke Nicolai, Miranda Olff, Elise van de Putte, Carlijn de Roos and Jannie van der Sleen.
