| Description: | On March 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. (ET), the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) will present the second in a series of Webinars on DNA evidence for victim service providers. This training, supported by a grant from OVC under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009, will increase understanding about the role sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) play in the proper collection of forensic evidence and in providing a supportive and empowering response to survivors. Participants will learn about how SANEs increase the probability of obtaining probative DNA evidence while minimizing trauma for survivors and how the involvement of SANEs increase prosecution rates. |
