Join the FISA Foundation, The Heinz Endowments, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHoP) and the Girls Coalition of Southwestern Pennsylvania for a unique webinar devoted to the impact of gender norms on young Black girls’ health and wellness. Dr. Scyatta Wallace, professor and CEO of Janisaw Company and Riki Wilchins, executive director of TrueChild, will present the findings of their recent white paper, with special emphasis on basic health, intimate relationships and reproductive health.Participants will leave this webinar with a broader knowledge of basic terminology gender norms; key concepts; research findings; and emerging ideas around gender norms that are shaping the field and have strong implications for policymaking, programs and funding priorities.This is part of a series of meetings and conversations hosted by the Endowments and the FISA Foundation, and focused on improving health and wellness among young Black girls, particularly as they are affected by feminine norms. This webinar is appropriate for program directors and direct service staff working in health and human service settings.
