Don't miss this unique training opportunity. In addition to the instruction and group exercises, trainees will have the chance to learn from the experiences of other bilingual interviewers and hear about how other communities deal with the challenges of multi-cultural child abuse cases. Trainees will have the opportunity to bring one of their own videotaped interviews for constructive peer review. In addition, each of the trainers brings a variety of experience from different areas of the country to share in the training.
Pauline Lucero Esquivel, MA, LMSW, LPCC; Maria Rosales-Lambert; and Linda Cordisco Steele, MEd, LPC will provide training on topics such as: Understanding Latino Culture, Forensic Questioning, Use of Interpreters, Beyond Language: Barriers to Interviewing, and many more. This training is specifically designed for child interviewers who are proficient in Spanish and conduct some or all of their interviews in Spanish. The instruction will be presented in both English and Spanish.
