One of the great challenges of rural sexual assault advocacy work is finding appropriate and compassionate medical care for sexual violence survivors. We have such limited healthcare resources in our rural communities. In this 90-minute webinar, Cat Fribley and Kris Bein will help OVW Rural Grantees explore new strategies and tap into new resources for comprehensive sexual violence medical advocacy. We will discuss questions such as:
- What if our community doesn’t have a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner?
- What if our community hospital is closing?
- How can we help survivors access long-term healthcare, not just emergency care?
