Healing Through Recovery: Supporting Rural Sexual Violence Survivors who Struggle with Addiction

Some survivors of sexual assault struggle with substance abuse. It’s hard to know how we advocates can help them, especially in rural communities that might not have a lot of resources for survivors or for folks with chemical dependency. Eric Stiles, Rural Projects Specialist at the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, will guide us through the addiction issues to consider in our advocacy. In this 90-minute webinar, we will learn about a model for a peer-led support group for survivors who struggle with addiction.
