Interactions Between Human Trafficking and Other Vulerable Populations Online Discussion

In commemoration of Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) will present a Web Forum discussion with Cynthia Kennedy, LICSW, and Constance rossiter on interactions between human trafficking and other vulnerable populations.  Ms. Kennedy is the Outreach Coordinaotr at Project REACH, a program of the Trauma Center at the Justice Research Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, that offers trauma-focused mental health services to victims of human trafficking and consultation and training to service providers working with trafficking victims throughout the United States.  Ms. Kennedy has previous expereince working with survivors of all forms of trauma, including domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, torture, and refugee trauma.  Ms. Rossiter is a licensed professional couselor and social worker, and the Social Responsibility she is responsible for program oversight.  she has considerable experience working with at-risk populations and has trained extensively on human trafficking.  Ms. Rossiter is a member of the Houston Rescue and Restore Coalition and the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance.  She is also the lead service provider on the Bureau of Justice Assistance-funded Texan Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force.
